ABSTRACT
LIFE PAINTING (C)
Reed Cardwell
This class will allow and encourage students to paint the figure
in a non-traditional manner. While gesture and anatomy will be
explored, the main focus will be on the student’s own
interpretation, their expressive feelings about the pose that
inspires them to paint the figure in space. Poses will be
longer, allowing students the opportunity to intuitively develop
their ideas in each painting. Emphasis will also be placed on
the figure’s unique relationship to the background space in each
painting. Included will be demonstrations as well as individual
and class critiques.
Tuesday, 1 - 4pm
7 week fee: $210 + model fee: $65
14 week fee: $350 + model fee: $130
