| FUNDAMENTALS OF PHOTOGRAPHY Sarah Meghan Lee A start-from-scratch class takes beginning photographers from the basics of exposure, manipulation of depth of field, and shutter speed to the ultimate goal of creating more compelling photographs with their cameras. Students build a solid technical foundation that enables them to take the photographs they have always wanted to take. Students learn to be comfortable with their cameras by understanding modes of exposure, depth of field, and focus. Subsequent discussions cover such topics as composition, lenses, natural light, and difficult lighting situations. An energetic and creative atmosphere is encouraged in the class, which builds confidence in photographic abilities and personal vision. Bring an open mind and a camera that can be used in manual mode to the class. Students finish the course with an energized feeling about photography and a collection of new images that illustrate their growth, both technically and creatively.

| INTERMEDIATE PHOTOGRAPHY Sarah Meghan Lee A course for photographers who have a good understanding of how to use their camera in manual mode, and can show with a small portfolio that they have begun studying natural light and composition. In the course, students are challenged to hone their technical and creative skills to create a body of work they would present as a personal project or exhibit. Students delve into a personal study of a specific type of photography that attracts them such as landscape, portraits, documentary or still life, all the while learning more about light, composition, moment and gesture.
